Art is a journey that creates its
own path. I am a maker of art and my path for some
time now has led me toward abstraction; an abstraction
that has refined itself into the most fundamental of
ancient symbols.
The circle is the most common symbol of the "center" and
of the cycle of transformation. The importance of
the relationship between the circle and the square is
quite extraordinary: the square = Earth, the
circle = Heaven and the whole = Oneness and the vision
of Paradise.
The squares and circles inscribed within one another
create a vortex that allows one to view from the surface
deep into the heart of matter. The way out to the
manifest world and the return to Oneness (the outer
circumference) through the circular movement which
smoothes away the corners of the square is the essential
point of these works.
My journey has led me to a clearer understanding of the
nature of Oneness. It is my pleasure to share with
others as my path unfolds before me. |
